Welcome to the Hockering Residents' Association (HRA) website.

If you continue to browse and use this website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern the HRA's relationship with you in relation to this website. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use this website. The HRA reserves the right to modify this Policy and the terms and conditions at any time and all amendments will be effective immediately upon the posting of a modification and is subject to change without notice. It is the member’s responsibility to be aware of changes

This website is operated by the HRA as a community service. Residents and tenants can become a member of the Hockering Community Website. Once the application has been approved, members can log-in and use the members’ area of the website in addition to the public areas, although there are areas where members may have restricted access. This site relies upon the information provided by members as being accurate and assumes that the user has ownership or relevant permission to use any images or material published. The HRA takes no responsibility or liability of any kind regarding the contents of the material displayed. This includes any information provided by advertisers who may from time to time publish on this site. We may, without prior notice, change the services; stop providing the services or any features of the services we offer; or create limits for the services. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the services without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason.

You grant the HRA (and others authorised by the HRA) the unrestricted right to use, reproduce, translate and distribute any material you place on this website. The HRA reserves the right (but undertakes no duty) to review, edit, move or delete any material on this website, at its sole discretion. Any material placed on this website which appears to cause offence or distress to any resident will be removed as soon as we are aware of the situation. Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence. Any malicious damage or sabotage to the website will invoke an invoice to the relevant person for the amount necessary to rectify the situation and in any event will attract a minimum charge of £100+VAT. 

We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend your access to the service without notice and liability for any reason, including if in our sole determination you violate any provision of these Terms or any applicable law or regulations. You may discontinue use and request to cancel your account and/or any services at any time.

Any offers of items for sale or exchange are without warranties of any kind either expressed or implied by the HRA. The HRA disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. No warranty is provided that the site functions without interruption, error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the server is free of viruses or other harmful components. Use of this website is entirely and completely at the members risk. The HRA do not warrant or make representations regarding correctness, accuracy, reliability, or other qualities.

Liability

Neither the HRA nor its members, shall be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages, including, without limitation, lost revenues, lost profits, or loss of economic advantage, resulting from the use or misuse of information published on this website. You agree to indemnify and hold the HRA Association, including its Trustees, Officers and Committee Members harmless from any demands, loss, liability, claims or expenses (including all legal fees), made against them by any third party due to, or arising out of, or in connection with your use of the website or any of the services offered on the website. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the HRA nor its members, be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the HRA including its members, assume no liability or responsibility for any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content; (ii) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to or use of our service; and (iii) any unauthorised access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored therein.

Indemnity:

You agree to indemnify The HRA, its representatives and employees, from any and all claims and liabilities (including legal fees) which arise from your statements, material or other submissions to this website, or from any unauthorised use of material obtained via this site or otherwise from your breach of these Rules of Acceptable Use. You agree to indemnify and hold HRA and its members harmless from any demands, loss, liability, claims or expenses (including all legal fees), made against them by any third party due to, or arising out of, or in connection with your use of the website or any of the services offered on the website.

You agree to receive from time to time messages and materials from us by email or any other contact which you may provide us with. If you don't want to receive such notices – please just notify us at any time.

The Terms of this website being governed by English Law and must be read in conjunction with any additional terms and conditions applicable to any individual User and in line with the Constitution of The Hockering Residents Association.
